T0 FIND OUT TRY THE NEW COBRA CLUB FITTING SYSTEM.

Why should you have "Custom Fit" Clubs

Effects of Shaft Flex
I am pleased to announce that our golf shop has been chosen as one of a select number in the country to have the Cobra Custom Fitting System. My staff have been extensively trained to use this industry leading fitting system in order to offer the advantage of a properly custom fit set of golf clubs.

Playing with the correct set of specifications in your clubs is an extremely important part of improving your game. Simply stated, if your clubs do not fit your swing, then you will make some sort of compensating in your swing in order to make a good shot. The Cobra Fitting System lets us tell precisely what your club specifications should be including:

Lie Angle, Shaft Flex, Club Length, Shaft Type, Grip Size and Type.

A Fitting session lasts only 30-40 minutes and can be scheduled at your convenience by calling in the shop. Once your specifications have been determined Cobra will ship your custom built clubs to us within ten working days.

Each Golfer has one has one particular shaft and flex point combination that is best suited for his swing.

How hard, how fast and how well you swing the club has a direct effect on the amount of shaft flexing. These factors determine the club head speed through impact. ball flight and shot distance.

A shaft which is too stiff will lose you distance and hit the ball on a lower flight, while a shaft which is more flexible will hit the ball on higher flight.

A player with a slower swing speed should consider a club with graphite shaft.

Effects of Lie Effects of Grip Thickness
By definition, lie angle is the angle between the shaft and the ground line that is made when the club head is soled so that it touches the ground directly at the centre of the club face.

The proper "lie angle" of the golf club at impact ensures optimum directional control and trajectory. If the lie is too upright, the ball will fly to the left of the intended target line with hook spin. If the "lie angle" is too flat the ball will fly right of the intended target line with slice spin.

Proper grip size will result in positive feel and control during the golf shot. a grip which is too large may not allow the golfer's wrist to rotate, which can result in the club face not being returned to square. Grips which are too small can cause excessive twisting of the club head at impact and produce hooked shots.

If the finger tips are separated from the heel portion of the left hand the grips are too large. If the finger tips barely touch, the grips are the correct size. If the finger tips are digging in, the Grips are too small.

The type of grip you use is very much down to feel. Cord grips are especially effective in wet weather.
